Andy and Helen Vince (andy@ichurchleiden.nl) The Blog

Andy serves as the lead pastor of ICL with Helen's support and he heads up the eldership team. Andy and Helen moved to Leiden from SW England in August 2006. They have two children who consistently show up their parents when it comes to speaking Dutch! Helen also works as a part time teacher in a local international school as well as overseeing the new Sunday youth ministry at ICL. In their spare time they love cycling, walking, gardening, reading, good music or a good movie and hanging out with friends.

Ben Workala (ben@ichurchleiden.nl)

Ben serves on the eldership team and along with his wife Shirley helps with pastoral care and host our Dutch life group. Shirley heads up the ICL music team. They have seven children. They both work in reintegration tasks to help people return to or find employment. Ben also has a passion for making hand crafted wood products to be sold to support projects in Indonesia(his home country) It has to be said they both cook fantastic Indonesian food! Lekker eten!!

Joost van Dyk (joost@ichurchleiden.nl)

Joost serves on the eldership team and along with his wife Welmoed, oversees the life group leaders. They have three children. Joost works in a management role within the local offices of a multinational paint company, Welmoed works for a local section of an international pharmaceutical company. Joost is now following a Masters in Practical Theology course with Mattersey Hall Theological College in the UK. As a couple they have a real heart for developing and mentoring others and to relax, they love to have family time and do sports and active pursuits(though they are not joining the Olympic squad in the near future!)

Mike and Anita James (mike@ichurchleiden.nl)

Mike and Anita James are missionaries from the USA and are here with their daughter. Mike serves on the eldership team and along with Anita,oversees children's ministry in ICL. This includes a monthly kids outreach called, "Zuper Zondag". Mike and Anita serve other churches with kids ministry training. Mike serves on the board of Azusa Theological college, on the VPE board(to represent Assemblies of God World Missions) and from summer 2010, is the Field Moderator for AGWM Missionaries in the Netherlands! Anita uses some of her spare time(!) being the church administrator and book keeper! Mike's sense of humour is something to be experienced, somehow Anita manages to keep him under control!!

Emma has finished in this role now but continues to serve ICL as our University Students Co-ordinator, including heading up the Radiate student group. Emma is married to Dirk.
