BECOME A MENTOR!  If you are a student or have recently been a student, you can sign up to help new internationals get adjusted to Leiden life.  The mentor program is organized through the International Student Network (ISN), but you can get their contact info from Emma.  They usually give you the information of 4-6 students, and you then can show them around town, help them find their housing or pick them up from the airport, take them out to your favorite restaurant, or invite them over for a meal. HOST FAMILIES - we also would like to see host families available to have students back for meals and to chill out. For internationals particularly being away in another country can be quite lonely and so being with a family can be a great support. If you are interested, again pleas contact Emma at the email addresses above.

Mums' Group - This group is for moms of babies and toddlers and expectant moms. Our desire is to meet the unique needs of moms and encourage them in the journey of motherhood. We believe that motherhood is a crucial God-given role in the family and through this role they have the exciting and challenging opportunity to influence their children for Christ.

We provide a safe and nurturing playgroup where moms and children can socialize and play together through incorporating child-centered songs, crafts, and activities. We meet twice a month at various locations in Leiden.

We host mom only events throughout the year where time is devoted just to moms to reenergize. These events include informative meetings with an expert speaker to educate moms on timely topics, as well as social events where moms can enjoy an evening out just to relax.

Lastly, we have an email list that members can join. We use the list to stay connected and inform others about events happening in our group as well as in the city. One special announcement we like to make is about new births. If you or someone you know is expecting, let us know. We will set up a schedule for meal delivery to help the mom after the birth. Also, we use the email list as a marketplace to notify members of opportunities to sell, loan, exchange, or request needed items and information specific to children and moms. 

Motherhood is a challenging role, but with the support of others, it can be much more enjoyable. We look forward to seeing you!
