Supported ministries

Jesus said to “go into all the world and make disciples….” Therefore at ICL, we believe that it is vital to support mission activity both inside and outside of the Netherlands.

Below are ministries that we support in prayer, but also financially on a regular basis:

The Netherlands

Hoofddorp Church Plant  -  a small team from ICL are heading this up. Mike and Anita James and their daughter Grace and Sietse and Vanessa Houtman. Mike and Anita are AGWM missionaries and up until the end of 2011 headed up the childrens ministry in ICL, Mike served as an elder and pastoral staff member and Anita looked after church administration and bookkeeping. Sietse and Vanessa served in the music team up until the end of 2011

Irma Lodewijks  -  Irma is part of ICL, helps to lead services and also supports the running of the Growing Leaders course. Irma works part-time for Navigators(LEF) seeking to share Christ amongst young people and to disciple those who are believers.

De Brug – a ministry based in Katwijk which works amongst those with addiction and other life controlling issues. De Brug

Frank Bouwens  Frank is a full time missionary with Christian Associates and works alongside the leadership of Crossroads Amstelveen with church planting. Presently he is helping with a new initiative in the Utrecht area. Along with his wife Josefine, they also host an English speaking missional small group in their Heemstede home. Josefine works full-time as an eye surgeon at a hospital in Heemstede and they have two daughters at home with them.

Frank and Josefine were amongst those who helped to plant ICL and Frank also served as an elder for a number of years.

VPE – as a member church of the VPE, we send a congregational contribution which helps with the funding of national initiatives.

Valera is now the academic dean of the theology department at St Petersburg Christian University, as well as travelling elsewhere in Russia to equip leaders and others

NW Europe - Tim and Marketa Southerland (sons - James, Andrew and Michael). ICL was begun in Tim and Marketa's home and Tim served as the first lead pastor of the church.
